Description

This Monkey Fist Key Chain is made with milled cotton cord and is about 5 inches long. It is attached to a solid brass split ring with a decorative white whipping. Hand tied in Mystic, CT.

Monkey's fists are a traditional knot used as weight at the end of a heaving line. The heaving line is used to pull the dock line to the pier.

Neat little monkeys fist

While not as hefty as the real thing, the monkeys fist keyring is a nice little reminder of boating life.
