Great Job by Wooden Boat. I ordered gudgeons that didn't match the pintles. Instead of just filing the order, Wooden Boat caught the mistake and contacted me to correct it. Pintles and gudgeons are perfect, just what I expected.

Castings look a bit rough and have inconsistent wall thickness. They should work ok though.

I was delighted to find these as almost everything else on the market is heavier than my need, too pricey for my blood, or both. I give them 4 stars since they are just a touch rough. One or the pintles didn’t fit in either gudgeon but I was alerted to that fact by the store before they shipped as they were the only set available at the time. So 6 stars for the Wooden Boat Store! As it turned out I ended up making a vertical bottom gudgeon to better fit the wine glass transom on my wherry. I had a piece of bronze available. In any case, the fit could have been corrected with a file and ten minutes of attention. The pieces are sand cast with a fair amount of “draw” left in and only machined for the screw holes, sanded and polished on the outside. The hole is as cast so a bit rough but after all, this is not a sewing machine.

Very robust, beautiful Pintles. Better than I expected. Very happy with my purchase! Would definitely buy again!
